Policies

All yarns and fibers are dyed with care using professional acid dyes in our nonsmoking, dog-friendly home.  Please keep in mind that a small amount of excess dye may release on the first wash, and some colors are more prone to bleeding than others.

Our photographs are as representative of our products as we can make them, but please allow for differences in screens/monitors.  The item you receive may vary slightly in color from its photo.

A note about dye lots:  Matching dye lots simply indicate that the skeins were dyed in the same pot at the same time.  They are not a guarantee that skeins will match exactly.  If using more than one skein of the same color, we strongly recommend alternating skeins to minimize the appearance of any color differences.  When you order more than one skein of a particular color, we will always send you skeins from the same dye lot if it's possible to do so from the yarns we have in stock; however, it is possible you may receive yarns from different lots.  If having all skeins from the same dye lot is important to you, please contact us before ordering.

Spinning fibers and handspun yarns do not have dye lots.

A note about handspun yarns:  While we take great pride in the consistency of our handspun yarns, they are entirely handmade products, and as such, some unevenness is to be expected.  Please be aware that this unevenness can be even more pronounced in chain plied yarns.  That being said, the unique texture of handspun yarn adds an unparalleled distinctiveness to your projects.

Reserved product listings are expected to be purchased within seven (7) days of listing unless other arrangements have been made. After seven days, we may remove the reserved listing and relist the item(s) as general stock.

All sales are final except in the case of an error on our part.  Any sales tax will be calculated based upon the customer's shipping address.

We reserve the right to place a 14-day hold on orders not being shipped to the verified address associated with the PayPal account used for payment.  We also reserve the right to cancel orders when fraud is suspected.

Items are shipped via USPS First Class or Priority Mail, depending upon weight. Once packages are in the custody of the USPS, we cannot be responsible for them.  Packages sent outside the U.S. can sometimes take weeks to arrive at their destination.  If you think your package may have been lost in the post, please contact us.  We will investigate the matter and make every effort to resolve the situation satisfactorily.

We make it a priority to respond to messages as quickly as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours for a response.
